Executive Assistant

Background: The Jewish National Fund is a registered charitable organization that has cared for the land of Israel for decades. This mission took the role of planting trees, building water reservoirs, preserving natural habitats, and building parks and bicycle trails. More recently, JNF Canada has taken on projects to build the social infrastructure of the land of Israel for the benefit of the People of Israel. We partner with a variety of Israeli institutions and NGOs to build social service infrastructure to benefit vulnerable populations such as youth-at-risk, victims of domestic abuse, children with special needs, veterans, and the poor. JNF Canada is Building the Foundations of Israel’s Future. 

The Jewish National Fund of Canada is searching for a part time Executive Assistant working for the CEO, CFO/COO, and Executive Director of Toronto. This position reports to the CEO. 

Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: 


• Manage schedule for the CEO. 

• Draft, review and send communications on behalf of company executives. 

• Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to distribution of documents and logistics of meetings. 

• Answer and respond to phone calls, communicate messages and information to the executive. 

• Prioritize emails and respond when necessary.

• Coordinate travel arrangements. 

• File and maintain various records and documents for organization’s executives. 

• Maintain a calendar of scheduled meetings, events, and campaigns. 

• Liaise with other JNF Canada employees, as needed. 

• Prepare Expense reports for the CEO and CFO/COO. 

• Additional support, as required.  

Candidate Qualifications: 

Education/Experience: 


• 2+ years of relevant executive, administrative and data entry experience, preferably in the non-profit sector. 

• Superior organization, flexibility, and multi-tasking skills . 

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 

• High degree of initiative and ability to prioritize tasks in a positive and effective manner, meeting critical deadlines. 

• Outgoing, positive, confident professional with a warm disposition. 

• Demonstrate commitment to the highest standards of ethical practice. 

• Ability to condense and package information in a visually appealing and logical manner.

• Understand the need for professionalism, discretion, and patience when communicating with donors and volunteers. 

• Accuracy and attention to detail is imperative. 

• Proficient keyboarding skills and proven in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. 

• Experience with Raiser’s Edge/NXT fundraising software an asset. 

• Experience using social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram an asset.

Associate

Campaign Development Officer


Location: Montreal, Quebec Type: Full Time Min. Experience: 5
Job Description 
Jewish National Fund (JNF) Quebec is seeking a full-time Campaign Development Officer. Reporting to the Executive Director of JNF Montreal and working closely with the Chief Climate Solutions Prize Officer and the Senior Campaign Director, the JNF Montreal Campaign Development Officer’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: 

CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES: 


• Supporting all aspects of CSP’s and JNF Quebec’s campaigns, including the Negev Campaign. 

• Working closely with the Senior Development Director, JNF Executive Director and Chief CSP Officer to tailor asks and follow up with corporate sponsors and donors. 

• Tracking contacts and donations made by donors and corporate sponsors. 

• Supporting logistics, marketing, program development and administration of the dinner and related Negev campaign events. 

• Liaising with the Program Director for all campaign related events. 

• Cultivating, stewarding gifts, and building solid relationships with an assigned list of donors. 

• Maintaining regular communication and conducting one-on-one solicitation with an assigned list of new & existing donors. 

• Supporting in other areas that may arise from Senior management.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: 


• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including fundraising and administrative tasks. 

• Experience working on not-for-profit campaigns and major fundraising events. 

• Strong knowledge of the Montreal Jewish community and donor community at large. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Superior organizational skills. 

• Experience with fundraising software preferred.

Program Director


Location: Montreal, Quebec Type: Full Time Min. Experience: 3
The Jewish National Fund (JNF) of Quebec is seeking a Program Director to plan, coordinate and execute JNF’s fundraising initiatives, and build new opportunities for community awareness through special events and board engagement. The successful candidate must be able to anticipate project needs, prioritize and meet deadlines and be available to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities: 


⦁ Event planning for all Quebec based events 

⦁ Create, implement and update the Critical Path for each campaign or event 
⦁ Create budgets and monitor expenses 
⦁ Handle all event and campaign logistics 
⦁ Manage negotiations with vendors within budgetary guidelines 
⦁ Work with caterers, source and order supplies, décor, Audio Visual equipment, event signage and other day of print material (name tags etc.) 

⦁ Manage and oversee all event logistics for annual Negev Dinner 
⦁ Work closely with Executive Director, Chief CSP Officer Senior Development Director on all fundraising campaigns (High Holiday, Tu Bi’Shevat etc) 
⦁ Work with JNF Future Board- Young Professional Committee to: 

⦁ Create new and exciting fundraising initiatives 
⦁ Set strategic goals related to event planning, fundraising, leadership development, succession planning and volunteer engagement and outreach 
⦁ Manage all events 
⦁ Create fundraising and marketing materials with Marketing Team ⦁ Work with event and program committees 
⦁ Recruit new members for committees and board 

⦁ Oversee the Education Committee and coordinate all JNF educational events 

⦁ Manage the JNF Student Fellowship program 

⦁ Coordination of volunteers for all Quebec events 
⦁ Donor canvassing and sponsorship 
⦁ Event computer management 

⦁ All event related data entry into Raiser’s Edge 
⦁ Tickets, Pledges etc. 

⦁ Building of relationships with key stakeholders and prospects

Professional Experience/Qualifications 

⦁ A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant event planning experience, fundraising experience preferred 
⦁ Experience working on major fundraising events 
⦁ Experience working with volunteers and managing committee processes 
⦁ Appreciation of and commitment to Israel 
⦁ Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects 
⦁ Understanding of social media and marketing 
⦁ Superior organizational skills 
⦁ Proficiency with technology including knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with Raiser’s Edge fundraising software an asset.

Digital Marketing Manager (Maternity Leave Replacement)

We collaborate with a variety of important institutions and organizations in Israel to build social service infrastructure to benefit vulnerable populations such as youth-at-risk, victims of domestic abuse, children with special needs, veterans and the disadvantaged. 

The Jewish National Fund of Canada is Building the Foundations of Israel’s Future. 

 Additionally, JNF Canada is also looking to help take our marketing efforts to the next level. We are currently hiring a full-time Digital Marketing Manager for a one-year period (Maternity Leave Replacement) for our National team based in Canada. 

This position is 100% remote and only eligible for those who are authorized to work in Canada. Eastern Time Zone preferred. 

Job Description 
Primary Responsibilities: 


•  Assist the Marketing Director and the Marketing Manager in overall email and social media marketing strategy, including digital advertising, and on brand messaging

• Manage social media channels for multiple JNF Canada Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter/X accounts. Manage social media schedule 

• Put together weekly regional & national emails and national newsletters 

• Manage email marketing schedule 

• Manage email marketing lists and audiences 

• Develop and create content for social media channels and ensure brand image is consistent with overall marketing strategies 

• Continuously advise on best practices for social media and email marketing 

• Plan and execute social media campaigns that run in conjunction with other marketing initiatives (paid and unpaid advertising) 

• Track metrics for social media, email, and website to ensure channel growth and increase engagement 

• Track advertising spend & Meta Charity Donations and forward to finance department 

• Train any new regional Marketing Associate hires in Mailchimp & Social Media management tools as required  

Required Skills and Experience: 


•  3-5 years of experience in a Digital Marketing role, non-profit experience an asset 

• University/College degree or equivalent education in related field. 

• Experience in Facebook Business & Ads manager 

• Experience in MailChimp or equivalent application 

• Experience in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite Experience in Google Analytics 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills 

• Ability to work within existing marketing strategies and bring new ideas to the table 

• Experience developing and maintaining and growing social media presence 

• Highly organized with attention to detail " ability to manage many channels all without compromising quality 

• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize based on the organization’s needs 

• Experience in writing copy materials an asset 

• Experience in Meta Charity Manager & PayPal Giving Fund an asset
