Office Administrator & Database Specialist

This mission took the role of planting trees, building water reservoirs, preserving natural habitats, and building parks and bicycle trails. More recently, JNF Canada has taken on projects to build the social infrastructure of the land of Israel for the benefit of the people of Israel. Summary: 
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Office Administrator & Database Assistant has a keen understanding of accounting/data entry and is responsible for the maintenance of the donor database, and is a self-motivated and dynamic relationship builder who is helpful, efficient, and has an eye for detail. 

Job Description Primary Responsibilities - Office Administrator & Database Specialist
• Maintaining and tracking accurate constituent records in CRM 
• Managing data entry 
• Issuing, tracking, and following up on invoices from donor pledges 
• Creating regular data reports 
• Tracking sponsorship commitments & payments 
• Managing organization of electronic files in the cloud-based server 
• Working with vendors & handling payments/accounting 
• Managing Accounts Receivables - Bank deposits & credit card deposits 
• Managing Accounts Payables 
• Sharing updates with Executive Director & Campaign Director 
• Attending board meetings and taking minutes 
• Supporting the development and mailings of letters and reports for campaigns 

Experience and Skills Required: 
• 2+ years experience in a similar role 
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English (French is an asset) 
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge/Blackbaud an asset 
• Ability to work independently 
• Ability to set priorities and schedules to achieve deadlines efficiently

Job Description

Campaign Development Officer

Job Description 
Jewish National Fund (JNF) Quebec is seeking a full-time Campaign Development Officer. Reporting to the Executive Director of JNF Montreal and working closely with the Chief Climate Solutions Prize Officer and the Senior Campaign Director, the JNF Montreal Campaign Development Officer’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: 

CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES: 


• Supporting all aspects of CSP’s and JNF Quebec’s campaigns, including the Negev Campaign. 

• Working closely with the Senior Development Director, JNF Executive Director and Chief CSP Officer to tailor asks and follow up with corporate sponsors and donors. 

• Tracking contacts and donations made by donors and corporate sponsors. 

• Supporting logistics, marketing, program development and administration of the dinner and related Negev campaign events. 

• Liaising with the Program Director for all campaign related events. 

• Cultivating, stewarding gifts, and building solid relationships with an assigned list of donors. 

• Maintaining regular communication and conducting one-on-one solicitation with an assigned list of new & existing donors. 

• Supporting in other areas that may arise from Senior management.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: 


• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including fundraising and administrative tasks. 

• Experience working on not-for-profit campaigns and major fundraising events. 

• Strong knowledge of the Montreal Jewish community and donor community at large. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Superior organizational skills. 

• Experience with fundraising software preferred.

Program Director (Outreach and Event Planner)


Location: Montreal, Quebec Type: Full Time Min. Experience: 3
 Job Description 

The Jewish National Fund (JNF) of Quebec is seeking a Program Director to plan, coordinate and execute JNF’s fundraising initiatives, and build new opportunities for community awareness through special events and board engagement. The successful candidate must be able to anticipate project needs, prioritize and meet deadlines and be available to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities: 
• Event planning for all Quebec based events 


• Create, implement and update the Critical Path for each campaign or event 

• Manage budgets and monitor expenses

• Handle all event and campaign logistics 

• Negotiate with vendors within budgetary guidelines

• Work with caterers, source and order supplies, décor, Audio Visual equipment, event signage and other day of print material (name tags etc.) 

• Recruit volunteers, as needed 

• Manage and oversee all event logistics for annual Negev Dinner 
• Work closely with Executive Director, Chief CSP Officer, Senior Development Director on all fundraising campaigns (High Holiday, Tu Bi’Shevat, etc…) 
• Work with JNF Future Board/Young Professional Committee to: 


• Create new and exciting fundraising initiatives 

• Set strategic goals related to event planning, fundraising, leadership development, succession planning and volunteer engagement and outreach 

• Manage all events o Liaise with marketing team on all fundraising and marketing materials 

• Work with event and program committees 

• Recruit new members for committees and JNF future board 

• Create, implement as well as maintain all outreach and engagement activities including Tree of Life initiative. 
• Liaise with the Education Committee and coordinate all JNF educational events: 


• Manage the JNF Student Fellowship program 

• Coordinate JNF educational activities with multiple schools in Montreal 

• Recruit and oversee volunteers for all Quebec events 
• Event computer management 


• Enter all event related data entry into Raiser’s Edge 


• Tickets, Pledges etc. 

 • Build relationships with key stakeholders and prospects  


Professional Experience/Qualifications 
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant event planning experience, fundraising experience preferred. 
• Experience working on major fundraising events 
• Experience working with volunteers and managing committee processes 
• Appreciation of and commitment to Israel 
• Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects
• Understanding of social media and marketing 
• Superior organizational skills 
• Proficiency with technology including knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with Raiser’s Edge fundraising software an asset. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Project management, organizational and prioritizing skills, problem solving and attention to details 
• Familiarity with the Montreal Jewish community an asset 
• University degree, postgraduate or professional degree preferred

Job Description 
CSP is searching for a Marketing Manager who can tell the CSP story in an innovative, cohesive and impactful way. Someone with knowledge or experience in sustainability is an asset. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is both strategic and a strong project manager, has excellent writing and copy-editing skills, and can synthesize multiple sources of information into strong and on-brand marketing. This person would be integral to the success of CSP, and involved in many aspects from fundraising materials, to social media and email, as well as telling the impact stories of the innovations supported through CSP. This is the perfect role for someone with marketing experience who is passionate about fighting climate change through innovation. 

Primary Responsibilities: 


• Provide marketing support for all CSP-related campaigns and activities 

• Develop (with CSP team input) the overall marketing strategy, including social media, web presence, advertising, messaging, and branding

• Impact-focused, multimedia storytelling for different channels

• Create and copyedit marketing literature, press releases, and articles

• Support design and messaging for fundraising materials to stay on brand and consistent

• Measure, analyze, and improve campaigns to maximize effectiveness 

• Supporting the CSP to achieve programmatic goals 

• Liaise with JNF Canada national team

• Support the JNF Quebec team when needed 

Required Skills and Experience: 


• 4+ years’ experience in marketing role in a fast-paced environment 

• Strong interest in sustainability, fighting climate change, and climate financing 

• University/College degree in marketing, environmental studies, innovation or related field 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly communicate ideas (in English) 

• Communication skills in French a strong asset 

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Powerpoint 

• Experienced knowledge working with Adobe Creative (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) 

• Proficient knowledge of Mailchimp and email marketing

• Experience with web design/content management, web-based advertising, and analytical tools (SEO and Google Analytics) an asset

• Experience developing and managing social media presence

• PR experience an asset

• Highly organized with attention to detail
