Supporting the Rebuilding of Kibbutz Kissufim
This year's JNF Golf Classic, the 23rd annual, will be taking place on June 24, 2024 at the Maple Downs Golf and Country Club. The Golf Classic has supported many worthy projects in Israel over the years and this year is no exception especially due to the devastation caused by Hamas terrorists on October 7th. This year's project is the first of many that will be assisting in the rebuilding of the western Negev communities.
The ProjectRebuilding Kibbutz Kissufim
JNFs around the world have agreed to “adopt” a community in Israel and JNF Canada has decided to wrap our arms around Kibbutz Kissufim, a community of 260 residents next to the Gaza border, where 16 residents were murdered by Hamas, three kidnapped, and dozens injured. Residents of Kissufim are experiencing loss, grief, and social isolation.
Determined to recover their community, we are rebuilding a playground, a daycare centre for their children, and a youth club for their teenagers. Once the residents return, the community’s children will have places to gather, get support, and recover from the traumas they experienced.
